Terms
Terms of use
The conditions for using Scoring64. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.
Established 19 October 2026
This is an English translation of the Japanese terms. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.
Scope
These terms apply to the download version of Scoring64 (Windows and Mac) and to the Scoring64 grading plugin for Codex and Claude Code, provided by Fermion Inc. (“the seller”).
For the Mac App Store and iPad versions, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
The seller holds the copyright in Scoring64.
What you can use for free
Each computer can use every feature for 2 tests a month, with no limit on students.
A test counts once, the first time you grade it, and the free tests reset on the 1st of each month, Japan time. Adding answer sheets to, regrading or exporting the same test does not use another.
When the free tests are used up, only grading a new test stops. You can still continue, correct and export tests you have started, design sheets, and view, back up and restore saved data.
Paid version
The paid version has no limit on tests. One license covers up to five computers in one classroom, and a separate license key is issued for each computer. A key works only on the computer it was issued for.
Fees, payment methods and support periods are as stated in the quote we send you (for customers in Japan, on the Japanese pricing page).
Monthly, annual and maintenance plans renew automatically. To cancel, email contact@fermion.company before the next renewal date. There is no cancellation fee, and you can use the product until the end of the period you have paid for.
Because this is a digital product, we do not accept returns or cancellations for the customer’s own reasons after purchase or after use has begun. Except where required by law or where the seller is at fault, fees paid are not refunded, in full or pro rata.
When a paid key expires, you return to what you can use for free. Exams and grading data you have made are not deleted.
Detailed conditions of the paid version are set out in the Scoring64 Software License Agreement, which we send when you sign up or on request. Where the agreement says otherwise, the agreement prevails.
What you may not do
- Redistribute, resell or modify Scoring64
- Make a license key usable on a computer other than the one it was issued for
Data
Answer sheets, grades and class lists are processed only on the computer you use and are not sent to the seller. See the Privacy policy.
Data is stored on each computer. You are responsible for making backups.
When you use the grading plugin, images of the answer sheets the AI agent reads, students’ names and your grading instructions may be sent to the AI service you use. Their handling follows that AI service’s terms.
Checking grades
Check results read automatically, and scores given by an AI agent, before you use them. For answers marked “Needs review”, compare them with the answer sheet before fixing the score.
Third-party software
Third-party software included in Scoring64 is covered by its own license. The license texts are in the THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES folder where Scoring64 is installed.
Disclaimer and governing law
Scoring64 is provided as is, to the extent we are able to provide it. To the extent permitted by law, the seller is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute about Scoring64 is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
Changes to these terms
The seller may change these terms. Changed terms are posted on this page with the date of revision. If you keep using Scoring64 after a change, you agree to the changed terms.
